This apparition occurred in 1873 and was formally recognized by the Catholic Church in 1876
June 8, 1873: While Arnaud was working in his vineyard on a Sunday—skipping Mass—Mary appeared and warned him: "You must not work on Sundays".
Auguste Arnaud, a 30-year-old winemaker and father of two who often skipped Sunday Mass to work in his vineyards.
July 8, 1873: She appeared again to Arnaud and his neighbors, repeating: "You must never work on Sunday! Blessed are those who believe". Mary appeared to him twice in 1873—first on June 8 and again on July 8.
She appeared in the vineyard and issued a stern but loving reminder: "You must not work on Sundays!". During the second visit, she repeated the message to Auguste and a gathered crowd: "Blessed are those who believe".
Church Approval: After a commission of inquiry, Bishop de Cabrières of Montpellier recognized the supernatural origin of the apparitions in 1876 and authorized the construction of a shrine in 1879.

Auguste Arnaud: He became a devout Catholic after the events and lived to the age of 93
