The Catholic Defender: To Be A Man For All Seasons, Be Courageous, Be Strong

Catholic Convert Mark Kiser leads us in this podcast on a topic for men to be men of God, the spiritual leaders of their households that can revive a family, a society, the nation, and the world through the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His Holy Catholic Church.

Then David said to his son Solomon: “Be strong and steadfast, and go to work; do not fear or be dismayed, for the LORD God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or abandon you before you have completed all the work for the service of the house of the LORD. 1 Chronicles 28:20

Scripture is clear that the Lord designed men to lead. They are called to be the heads of their families (1 Corinthians 11:3; Ephesians 5:22–24). They are given the leadership of the church (1 Timothy 2:11–14; 3:1–2).

He looks for ways to help each family member grow in their relationship with God. He pays attention to and nurtures his family's mental, emotional, and spiritual health.

Men are to be the spiritual leaders of their home because God designed it that way. He created an order and desires that we keep that order today. Our children need to know how to live a life for Christ in a society that lives for the world. We need men to rise up and be the leader God wants them to be.

A Husband Is A Lover.

A Christian husband is to look after all the needs of his family (Eph. 5:29). As Jesus Christ seeks to supply the material, emotional and spiritual needs of the Church, so a man should do all he can to provide for his family. God told Adam he should work hard

The Seven Qualities of a Spiritual Leader (That You're Probably Going to Hate… )

Love God.

Listen to God.

Repent to God.

Worship God.

Study God.

Obey God.

Serve God.

Your leadership must be marked with the kind of love that marked Christ's love for his church. That same love, that same desire for God's glory, flows from Christ to the husband and into the family. Lead with Gentleness. The godly husband leads his wife with meekness and gentleness.

A man is called to be a servant-leader – to take responsibility for his wife and children and to put their needs ahead of his own. He is called to demonstrate selfless, sacrificial love – the type of love we see in God toward his children.
