The Catholic Defender: Something to go to sleep with, It is Finished, Jesus has won, Angels are at work as you sleep

You can use the five foundational declarations of faith based on the finished work of Christ to calm your mind and rest in peace before you sleep.
Acknowledge that your salvation, redemption, and the ultimate payment for your burdens are completely resolved through Christ.
Healing is mine: Release physical pain or bodily stress, claiming health and restoration through His sacrifice.
Jesus has won: Reaffirm that the victory over darkness, fear, and worry is already secured, meaning you do not need to stay on guard or carry your problems into the night.
Angels, go now: Command or release God's ministering spirits and angelic protection to watch over you and your household while you slumber.
I will rest: Surrender control completely to God, trusting that He works on your behalf while you sleep safely.
In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety. This bedtime meditation combines the timeless comfort of Psalm 4:8 with a gentle, grounding breathing pattern to help you release physical tension and quiet your thoughts before closing your eyes.
Before beginning, find a comfortable position in your bed. Rest your arms loosely by your sides or gently place one hand on your chest and the other on your stomach. Close your eyes, let your shoulders drop away from your ears, and allow your mattress to fully support the weight of your body.
Follow this slow rhythmic pattern, repeating it four or five times until your breathing feels natural, deep, and effortless.
Inhale deeply through your nose for four counts, feeling your abdomen rise. As you fill your lungs, think or whisper the first part of the promise:"In peace I will lie down..."
Hold the breath gently for two counts, letting the quietness settle over your mind."...and sleep..."
Exhale slowly through your mouth for four counts, completely softening your jaw, neck, and shoulders. As you let the air go, release the burdens of today:"...for you alone, Lord..."
Pause for two counts before your next breath, resting in the stillness."...make me dwell in safety."
As your breathing settles into its own gentle cadence, recognize that you do not need to carry the unfinished tasks, worries, or plans for tomorrow. The same Creator who sustains the universe is watching over you right now. You are completely safe to let go, release control, and rest.
When you are ready, let your mind rest entirely on the truth that you are fully held, deeply loved, and perfectly secure. You can safely close your eyes.
