One like a son of man.

When he reached the Ancient of Days

and was presented before him,

He received dominion, splendor, and kingship;

all nations, peoples and tongues will serve him.

His dominion is an everlasting dominion

that shall not pass away,

his kingship, one that shall not be destroyed. Daniel 7:13-14

The phrase "Son of Man" entering heaven refers to two major biblical events: the Ascension of Jesus and the prophetic vision in Daniel 7. While "Son of Man" highlights Jesus' humanity, it also signals his divine authority and his unique role as the one who bridges earth and heaven.

The term "Son of Man" is Jesus' most frequent self-designation, appearing over 80 times in the Gospels. It carries a dual meaning

Humanity: Emphasizes his participation in the human experience, including suffering and death.

Divinity: Connects him to the "One like a son of man" in Daniel 7, a figure given eternal dominion by God.

In the New Testament, Jesus describes his movement between heaven and earth as a "descending" and "ascending" process

The Descent: Jesus claimed to be the only one who truly "came down from heaven".

The Ascent: He spoke of "ascending to where he was before," signifying a return to his original divine state.

The Paradox: In John 3:13, Jesus famously states, "No one has ascended into heaven except the one who descended from heaven, the Son of Man".

The Ascension (Historical)

According to Acts 1:11, after his resurrection, Jesus was "taken up into heaven" while his disciples watched. This event marked the completion of his earthly ministry and the beginning of his reign at the right hand of God.

The Vision of Daniel (Prophetic)

In Daniel 7:13, the Son of Man comes with the clouds of heaven to the "Ancient of Days" (God). He is presented before God and given

Dominion: Authority over all peoples and nations.

Glory: Divine honor and majesty.

The Second Coming (Future)

Key Insight: The Son of Man’s entry into heaven is not just a change of location, but a vindication. It proves his divine origin and establishes his role as the eternal King and Judge.
