The Catholic Defender At The Springfield Missouri Planned Parenthood Rally
The past several weeks Deepertruth Member Mark Kiser planned and organized a Pro-life Rally at the Planned Parenthood location in Springfield Missouri.
Mark wanted to remember the 1973 Supreme Court Decision (Roe V Wade) that ruled to allow legal abortion in the United States. Since that time nearly 60,000,000 children have been sacrificed at the expense of the American Taxpayer.
Mark began the rally sharing a letter from Father Pavone, Head of "Priest's for Life" encouraging the good work being done to stop abortion, but it is important that we do much more. Writing our Congressmen is important, reversing Roe V Wade is very important, but it is important that the Church finally put it's foot down.
On this cold January wet day, the media came out to cover the event hosted by Deepertruth and the Springfield Marian Association. The day began with a Rosary and Mass at St. Joseph the Worker Parish in Springfield.
Dr. Gregory Thompson was present speaking on the importance of life, that God so loves the little children. I am reminded what God told Jeremiah:
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you; I appointed you a prophet to the nations." Jeremiah 1:5
Dr. Thompson for many years worked as a Superintendent and served the communities that he was responsible. At one time he was President of 15 different school districts in Southern Missouri. Now he is a writer and Radio Host for Deepertruth and an organizer for Marian Conferences throughout the State of Missouri.
The work that Gregory and Mark continue to do in standing for life and for the Catholic Faith encourages many people throughout the area.
With President Donald Trump's inauguration, it was reported than hundred's of thousands of women around the Country organized marches against President Trump partially because of his promise to defund Planned Parenthood. It is important that the Church responds showing that all lives matter from conception to natural death.
That was my principle point I wanted to make at this rally.
I served over 26 years in the United States Army as a Combat Medic. In that time I witnessed many horrors, but when I attempted to watch Dr. Bernard Nathanson's video of an actual abortion (Silent Scream) I was horrified.
Behind us in this new building that Planned Parenthood hopes to bring it's abortion business here in Springfield, the horrors that would take place there is overlooked for the opportunity to make money. Killing unborn babies is a money making scheme all at the expense of the Taxpayer.
I am encouraged with the Election of President Donald Trump keeping a Republican Congress both houses, the Senate and the House of Representatives, that is huge! But we the Church must take action in standing up and being counted. This evil of abortion will only continue as long as the Church allows it.
There will be hundreds of thousands of Pro-life Marchers hitting Washington D.C. and throughout many State Capitals in the United States. Can you imagine what would happen should people by the thousands take this stand every day at these abortion mills?
With the change in Washington and the pro-aborts are in distress, here is a great opportunity, perhaps the best since 1973, that we can finally make a great change stopping the killing of innocent children.
