"Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teaching. It is good to have our hearts strengthened by grace and not by foods, which do not benefit those who live by them.We have an altarfrom which those who serve thetabernaclehave no right to eat. The bodies of the animals whose blood the high priest brings into the sanctuaryas a sin offering are burned outside the camp. Therefore, Jesus also suffered outside the gate, toconsecrate the people by his own blood. Let us then go to him outside the camp, bearing the reproach that he bore. For here we have no lasting city, but we seek the one that is to come. Through him then let us continually offer God a sacrifice of praise, that is, the fruit of lips that confess his name."(Hebrew 13:9-15)

In the Catholic Church there is a continual offering taking place all over the world as one voice. What a powerful truth this is. St. Paul asks this question:"The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The br...

Moses once said,"A prophet like me will the Lord, your God, raise up for you from among your own kinsmen; to him you shall listen. This is exactly what you requested of the Lord, your God, at Horeb on the day of the assembly, when you said, 'let us not again hear the voice of the Lord, our God, nor see this great fire any more, lest we die" (Deuteronomy 18:15-16).

A prophet like Moses has come, one who is much greater. St. John writes,"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life" (John 3:16).

As important it is that the Father sent his only begotten Son into the world, it is important to understand that the Son so loved the world that he sent his Church into the world. The connection here cannot be missed especially through the covenant the Lord has made with his people.

Jesus said,"All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing th...

Isaiah 42:11 states, "Let the desert and its cities lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar inhabits; let the inhabitants of Sela sing for joy, let them shout from the top of the mountains."

Consider that Kedar is a place of the "dark skinned" people, the sons of Ismael being mentioned second in the line of Ishmael (Genesis 25:13, 1 Chronicles 1:29). Kedar were those Arabs who settled on the northwest Peninsula within Palestine. Ezekiel 27:21 states that Arabia, being a part of Kedar, was an economic power with it'simportance intrade, "Arabia and all the princes of Kedar were your favored dealers in lambs, rams, and goats; in these they trafficked with you." Isaiah21:13-17 refers to the "glory of Kadar" as something of the past, but because of Christ, they will celebrate.

The Kedar were known to be mighty warriors, expert archers, and built up and settled in their villages. Isaiah called for these to sing praise to the Lord from the mountain tops.

The people of Sela were those who d...

"Wherever there are jealousy and ambition, there are also disharmony and wickedness of every kind; whereas the wisdom that comes down from above is essentially something pure; it is also peaceable, kindly and considerate; it is full of mercy and shows itself by doing good; nor is there any trace of partiality or hypocrisy in it. The peace sown by peacemakers brings a harvest of justice. Where do these wars and battles between yourselves first start? Is it not precisely in the desires fighting inside your own selves? You want something and you lack it; so you kill. You have an ambition that you cannot satisfy; so you fight to get your way by force. It is because you do not pray that you do not receive;When you do pray and do not receive, it is because you prayed wrongly, wanting to indulge your passions." (James 3:16 - 4:3)

This is a most important scripture reading! What is your passion? What is most important to you?

If your passion prevents you from honoring God, if you are more c...

Our Father who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name;
Thy kingdom come
Thy will be done
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
And forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us;
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

The Lord’s prayer is the mostrecognizable prayer that gives the basic tenet of Christians.“And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.” As simple as this sounds, we all know this is easier said than done. How easy it is to allow ourselves to let anger set in. Families are torn a part and friends turn into enemies.

Even with the greatest examples known to man. Luke 11:2-4, "Then Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, they know not what they do”. Jesus gives a teaching on the importance of forgiveness." Matthew 18:21:22 states,“Then Peter approaching asked him, ‘Lord, if my brother sins against me, how often must I forgive him? As many as seven times?’ Jesus answered, ‘I say to you, no...

"Now when Jesus came into the district of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, "Who do men say that the Son of man is?" And they said, "Some say John the Baptist, others say Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets." He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?"16 Simon Peter replied, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jona! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven. And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the powers of death shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Then he strictly charged the disciples to tell no one that he was the Christ."  Matthew 16:13-20

Consider that there have been several heresies in history that have tried to shape th...

From the very beginning of the Republican Presidential Campaign I maintained I would support the eventual nominee.  It was not long after that when bubbles or pockets of groups came out against Donald Trump.  At first I was sent hundreds of memes with everything men devise to attack Trump.

The more they sent such attacks the more I looked into the very issue being raised.  As a Catholic Apologist and writer, that has become my nature, to look into the truth.

A lot of it seemed to be manufactured attacks, bringing out assertions that were completely baseless, very early on I began to see the arguments coming from the NeverTrump people as agenda driven and not truth driven.

Then something began to take shape when the NeverTrump arguments began to fall behind as Donald Trump took a solid lead in the polls.  They began to make it a moral crusade to oppose Donald Trump.  They tried to tie Trump to Hillary Clinton as if they are the same pea in the same pod.

Now that Donald Tru...

Eucharistic Miracles – Facts, Research, Videos

“This is my Body which will be given up for you…”

Throughout Christian history, our Lord has shown us that he is really present as the Blessed Sacrament. Most Eucharistic miracles involve incidences in which the Host has“turned into human flesh and blood”. Of course we as Catholics believe that the consecrated Host is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinityof our Lord, under the appearances of bread and wine. Therefore, Jesus, through these miracles, merely manifests His Presence in a more tangible way.

Then he said to Thomas, ‘Put your finger here, and see my hands; and put out your hand, and place it in my side; do not be faithless, but believing.’Thomas answered him, ‘My Lord and my God!’ Jesus said to him, ‘Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet believe.‘” (Jn 20:27-29)
