The Catholic Defender: Our Lady of the Rosary Novena - Day 6

DAY SIX: WE PRAY FOR THE VIRTUE OF MEEKNESS

O Jesus, our pride, stubbornness and lack of faith tagged each thorn as it pierced Your Sacred Head. Our exclusion of spiritual realities tightened the branches around Your Head. Our lack of confidence in Your Mercy and the lukewarmness of our love braided torture into a wreath of unspeakable pain.O Jesus, let us NEVER forget Your love for us all and the reparation You offered the Father for our sake. Let our soul magnify the Lord by humility of heart, purity of mind, and a gentle spirit so that we may overcome pride, worry and resentments, and look forward for an increase in faith.

In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.

Dear Lord, we thank You for giving us Your mother as Our Lady of the Rosary. Help us to turn to her as our mother in all of our needs!

Our Lady of the Rosary, the aggressions of the Ottoman Empire were a grave threat to Christianity, so Pope Pius V turned to your intercession. Through your assistance, the Christian forces were able to miraculously defeat the stronger naval forces of the Muslims.

Please bring all of our needs before the throne of your Divine Son, and we particularly ask today that you pray that all Christians may be able to freely practice their faith!

Pray for us, that we may grow in virtue and holiness each day of our lives. Pray that we may never allow any difficulties to prevent us from serving God.
