The Catholic Defender At St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church for the Confirmation of Crimson Davis by Bishop Bernard Fellay 17 May 2025

It was a great honor to have been present for Crimson's Confirmation. Dave and Lindsey Davis and their family were recieved in the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil At Divine Mercy in Gardner Kansas. I worked with Dave, and while on duty, I had the oportunity to share the Catholic Faith with him. His wife Lindsey became interested in our discussion. I have been blessed to Sponsor the Family into the Catholic Church and the baptisms of their younger children. I have kept up with them as they continue to follow Christ.

Bishop Bernard Felley gave a powerful Homley for all those present for Confirmation, there was a large number that learned that the duty of all Catholics are to reach out to others the message of Christ in there daily lives.

I tell those whom I am sponsoring that Confirmation is not a graduation, but their Pentecost to recieve the fullnes of the Holy Spirit to share the faith as Bishop Bernard Felley so powerfully presented to all present.

I posed with Crimson and Bishop Bernard Felley, I had given Crimson's crucifix that he proudly wore at the Confimation years before. It was great to have had the chance to see Dave once again. I told him that he has come a long way from when we worked in an office together. Dave and Lindey are preparing to receive a new child very soon. My prayer for them is to continue to grow in their Catholic Faith. Crimson's Confirmation says they are well on the journey!

Crimson's Confirmation took me back to my own Confimation, I was Confirmed on September 23, 1969 by Bishop Sullivan at St. John La Lande, Blue Springs Missouri. Mr. Bruce Sparks was my Sponsor and it is always good to remember your own journey of faith. St. Andrew, brother of Simon Barjona, who would come to Christ. The joy that St. Andrew felt can be experienced by all who bring others to Christ. To God be the Glory forever and ever Amen!
