As of April 11, 2026, Pakistan is currently hosting historic, high-stakes peace talks between the United States and Iran in Islamabad. These negotiations aim to turn a fragile two-week ceasefire into a lasting peace following a six-week regional war

After a marathon session lasting over 21 hours, U.S. Vice President JD Vance announced that the delegations failed to reach an agreement. Vance noted that while "substantive discussions" occurred, the U.S. would be returning without a deal.

This was the first face-to-face, high-level meeting between U.S. and Iranian officials since the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

Disagreements centered on control of the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s nuclear program, and demands for a ceasefire in Lebanon and reparations for war damage.

Pope Saint Pius V and Pope Leo XIV represent two very different eras of the Catholic Church—one a historical giant of the Counter-Reformation and the other a modern figure elected in 2025.

A Dominican friar before his election, Pius V is best known for implementing the reforms of the Council of Trent.

He promulgated the Tridentine Mass (the traditional Latin Mass) in 1570, which remained the standard for the Roman Rite for nearly 400 years.

Battle of Lepanto: He formed the Holy League to defend Europe from the Ottoman Empire. He attributed their 1571 victory to the Rosary, establishing the Feast of Our Lady of Victory (now Our Lady of the Rosary).

He was canonized in 1712 and is the patron of the Society of St. Pius X

Elected on May 8, 2025, Pope Leo XIV (born Robert Francis Prevost) is the first American-born pope in history.

He chose the name "Leo" to honor Pope Leo XIII and his social teaching, particularly the encyclical Rerum Novarum, seeking to apply those principles to modern challenges like artificial intelligence.

His papacy has been marked by efforts toward ecclesial unity, including high-profile negotiations with traditionalist groups like the SSPX to avoid a "decisive break" or schism.

Before becoming pope, he served as the Prefect of the Dicastery for Bishops and spent years as a missionary in Peru.

Deepertruth, a prominent Catholic media platform, has actively supported the peace initiatives of Pope Leo XIV, particularly the Prayer Vigil for Peace held on April 11, 2026.

By joining these prayers, groups like Deepertruth aim to foster a "culture of encounter" and encourage individuals to become "builders of daily peace".

President Trump has claimed military victory over Iran's nuclear program, asserting in 2026 that the program was significantly "obliterated" during military operations.

The Rosary, Our Lady of Victory again aid's the world against Islamic terrorism!
