The Catholic Defender: America Threatened by "RED DAWN" For REAL.

Red Dawn (1984) is an iconic Cold War action film directed by John Milius, featuring a group of Colorado teenagers (Patrick Swayze, Charlie Sheen) who form a guerilla resistance named "Wolverines" against Soviet, Cuban, and Nicaraguan invaders. It was the first film to receive a PG-13 rating. A 2012 remake starring Chris Hemsworth exists, focusing on a North Korean invasion.

Plot: Following a surprise Soviet-led invasion of the US, teenagers escape to the mountains and launch guerilla attacks.

Cast: Patrick Swayze (Jed), C. Thomas Howell (Robert), Lea Thompson (Erica), Charlie Sheen (Matt), and Jennifer Grey (Toni).

Context: The film reflects 1980s Cold War anxieties and was a box office success despite mixed reviews.

Ending: Most of the young fighters die, with survivors Erica and Danny reaching "Free America" territory.

Charlie Kirk was a casualty of a communist, Marxist infiltration of our own country. Not coming from like the story line of a Soviet-led invasion. it is a take-over by the higher Education system that is fostering propaganda that Charlie and I both formerly left the College system for the same reason.

Concerns regarding the influence of Marxist or communist ideology in public school curricula have become a prominent part of the national discourse on education, leading to both legislative action and intense debate. While some parents, lawmakers, and activists allege that schools are promoting neo-Marxist, "woke," or anti-American ideologies, others argue these claims are exaggerated, lack evidence, or reflect a misunderstanding of efforts to promote diversity and equity.

Concerns of Ideological Push: Proponents of this view argue that schools are increasingly replacing objective, fact-based education with "woke" ideology and critical perspectives that encourage students to view American history through an oppressor/oppressed lens, which they equate with neo-Marxism. Some critics argue this aims to replace traditional American values with socialist, anti-capitalist, or anti-American viewpoints.

Defense of Current Curriculum: (primarily coming fom Liberal Democrats) Conversely, many educators, researchers, and unions argue that there is no evidence of widespread, systematic indoctrination in public schools. They argue that what is often labeled as "Marxist" is actually a focus on teaching critical thinking, diverse perspectives, and a more honest, inclusive history of the United States.

From my own experience, I know this to be untrue. Curriculum is very woke.

Gender and Identity: The promotion of "gender ideology"—such as allowing students to use facilities based on gender identity or facilitating "social transitions" without parental consent—is cited by some as a form of ideological extremism in schools.

Gender identity is an individual's deep internal sense of being male, female, a blend of both, or neither, which may or may not align with their sex assigned at birth. It exists on a spectrum, distinct from biological sex and sexual orientation. Common identities include transgender, cisgender, and non-binary.

Non-binary/Genderqueer: Identities that fall outside the male/female binary.

Transgender: An umbrella term for people whose gender identity differs from their assigned sex.

Agender/Gender-neutral: Identifying as having no gender or a neutral gender.

Transitioning: Some individuals may take steps to align their physical appearance or legal, social, and medical status with their gender identity.

The inclusion of biological males (specifically transgender women) in women’s sports is a deeply polarizing issue, balancing debates over fairness, safety, and inclusion. Proponents of restrictions argue that male puberty confers lasting physical advantages—such as increased bone density, lung capacity, and muscle mass—that hormone therapy does not fully eliminate, thereby risking female athlete safety and equity. Conversely, advocates for inclusion argue that these instances are rare and that discriminating based on gender identity is unjust.

Sex is assigned at birth, refers to one’s biological status as either male or female, and is associated primarily with physical attributes such as chromosomes, hormone prevalence, and external and internal anatomy. Gender refers to the socially constructed roles, behaviors, activities, and attributes that a given society considers appropriate for boys and men or girls and women. These influence the ways that people act, interact, and feel about themselves. While aspects of biological sex are similar across different cultures, aspects of gender may differ.

This is an example how far the education has lost common sense which seeks to out law the bible and Christian Conservative that refuse to accept this onslought of revived Paganism.

A movement called "Common Sense" developed to withstand this demonic onslought that will not recognize what a woman is?

provides schools and teachers with simple, effective resources to help kids navigate their well-being in the digital era.  And push for laws and policies that protect kids, hold tech accountable, and put children's well-being at the center of the digital world.

Drag Queen Story Hour (DQSH): These events, which began in 2015, involve drag performers reading children's books and leading learning activities in public libraries and schools. The stated goals of the program are to promote literacy and celebrate diversity.

Inclusive Curriculum: Some school districts have integrated LGBTQ+-inclusive texts into their curriculum to foster an environment that recognizes diverse gender identities.

Reports concerning children undergoing gender-affirming medical procedures without parental knowledge or consent are at the center of intense legal and political battles in the United States. While some states have moved to restrict gender-affirming care (GAC) for minors, others have enacted policies aimed at protecting access to care for youth, sometimes without parental notification.

School Policies and Parental Rights: A significant, ongoing debate centers on school policies that allow for "social transitioning" (using new names/pronouns) without informing parents. In March 2026, the U.S. Supreme Court blocked a California policy that allowed schools to withhold information about a student's gender identity from parents, marking a major ruling in favor of parental rights.

State Bans and Restrictions: As of late 2025, 27 states have enacted laws or policies limiting youth access to gender-affirming care. These laws often classify providing puberty blockers, hormones, or surgeries to minors as felonies or malpractice.

Federal Action: In December 2025, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) announced proposed actions to bar hospitals from performing "sex-rejecting procedures" on children under 18 as a condition of participation in Medicare and Medicaid programs.

"Detransition" Concerns: Critics of these procedures, including individuals who have "detransitioned," argue that children are being subjected to irreversible, life-altering procedures.
