The Paul and Judy Alciatore Team: President Trump and 9/11/2001
As part of their coverage of the 19th anniversary of 9-11, Laura Ingraham in her show on Fox interviewed Bernie Kerik who was a New York Police Department Commissioner at the time that the Trade Center buildings were attacked and destroyed. Kerik said something that I had never heard before and it brought me to tears.
He stated that on 9-11 and for several days after, in the aftermath of that tragedy, Donald Trump was present at ground zero. He walked ground zero. He motivated those there. He was doing things for the mayor and himself to make their jobs easier. He said that Trump was there for DAYS.
This was years before Donald Trump was running for president. Before he had any idea that he would run for president. He was there simply to HELP.
When Trump was running in 2016 I was only somewhat on his side. He was the only remaining alternative to Hillary.
I would have selected some other Republican to run against her. Only after he took office and started to actually keep all his promises, only after he demonstrated that he could and would make things better for all of us did I become a devoted Trump supporter.
But until tonight I never knew the actual extent of his character. He did not have to go to ground zero. He wanted to help. He did not have to be there for days.
Donald Trump wanted to do all that he could. If he had simply donated some money, he could claim he helped. But NO, he was THERE! AT GROUND ZERO! Not just helping, but encouraging and boosting the morale of the others there.
Joe Biden tries to defend his actions as vice-president which have enriched his own family. He fails at this.
Biden has been on the wrong side of almost every issue in his long political career. He does not deserve to even be in the same country as Donald Trump. If he had any honor at all, he would resign the election and tell all his followers to vote for Donald Trump. But he doesn't have even a shred of honor so he will not do that.
I fear we will never see another Donald Trump. We must give him another four years. We MUST!
THERE IS A FLAG
WITH A MUCH-TOLD STORY
IT HAS A NAME
IT'S CALLED OLD GLORY
IT'S MORE THAN JUST
A PIECE OF CLOTH
IT STANDS FOR ALL
THAT PEACE, HARD FOUGHT
IT STANDS FOR FREEDOM
ACROSS THE LAND
THIS U S A
SO PROUD AND GRAND
BE NOT ASHAMED
TO SHARE THE STORY
THEN STAND, SALUTE
AND LOVE OLD GLORY
THROUGH UPS AND DOWNS
THROUGH WINS AND LOSS
THROUGH BATTLE'S FRAY
AND TEMPEST TOSSED
THIS FLAG OF OURS
HAS MUCH TO TELL
ABOUT THE LAND
IN WHICH WE DWELL
AND SO I SAY
ONCE MORE, WITH FEELING
THOUGH HATE ABOUNDS
THAT SENDS US REELING
BE PROUD TO SHARE
OUR FREEDOM'S STORY
FOR THROUGH IT ALL
THERE STOOD OLD GLORY
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord" (Psalms 33:12).
God our Father, giver of life, we entrust the United States of America to your loving care. You are the rock on which this nation was founded. You alone are the true source of our cherished rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Reclaim this land for your glory and dwell among your people.
Send your Spirit to touch the hearts of our nation’s leaders. Open their minds to the great worth of human life and the responsibilities that accompany human freedom. Remind your people that true happiness is rooted in seeking and doing your will.
Through the intercession of Mary Immaculate, patroness of our land, grant us the courage to reject the “culture of death.” Lead us into a new millennium of life. We ask this through Christ Our Lord. Amen.
