The Catholic Defender: Jesus and His Promises of Eucharistic Adoration
According to Catalina Rivas of Cochabamba, Bolivia, Jesus gave this statement: “I promise to the soul that visits Me frequently in this Sacrament of Love, that I will receive it affectionately together with all the Blessed and the Angels in Heaven, and that each of its visits will be written down in the Book of its Life and I will grant to it."
Bishop, René Fernández Apaza has given his imprimatur to Catalina's Messages.
Our Lord appearing to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque and complained to her of the indifference with which mankind treated His Love for them and asked her to make atonement for this ingratitude. He said: "Every night, between Thursday and Friday, I will make you a partaker of that sorrow unto death which it was My will to suffer in the Garden of Olives."
Jesus gave this instruction: "To join with Me in the humble prayer which I then offered to My Divine Father in agony, you shall rise before midnight, and remain with Me upon your knees prostrate for one hour, with your face to the ground, to appease the anger of My Eternal Father and ask of Him pardon for sinners."
The following are promises Jesus gave to Catalina:
Every petition that is presented before the Altar of God in favor of the Church, the Pope and consecrated souls.
The annulment of Satan’s power over its person and its loved ones.
Special protection in case of earthquakes, hurricanes and other natural disasters which otherwise would affect it.
It will be lovingly withdrawn from the world and its attractions, which are the cause of perdition.
The elevation of its soul, desiring to attain sanctification, in virtuous eternal contemplation of My Face.
Relief of its loved ones from the pains of Purgatory.
My blessing on every material and spiritual project it undertakes, if they are for the good of its own soul.
The receiving of My visit in company with My Mother at the moment of its death.
To listen to and to look after the needs of the persons for whom it prays.
The intercession of the Saints and Angels at the hour of its death, in order to diminish temporal punishment.
That My Love will cause holy vocations consecrated to God among its loved ones and friends.
That the soul which preserves a genuine devotion to My Presence in the Eucharist will not be condemned or die without the Sacraments of the Church.
“To the priests and nuns that propagate the devotion of Adoration, I will grant many special graces, the complete recognition of their sins and the Grace to amend them. I will help them to form communities of devout and holy faithful, and they will attain many privileges.
“I promise these things to all persons, under only two conditions which are the fruit of genuine love towards My Real Presence in the Eucharist, and which are absolutely indispensable for My promises to become a reality in their lives: a) That they strive to preserve the dignity of My Altars. b) That they be merciful towards their neighbor.”
Dr. Gregory Thompson and I have promoted Eucharistic Adoration for several years and we believe that these events are most important supporting the priest and people of a parish.
Pope Leo XIII on March 30, 1886, allowed the faithful to make their "Holy Hour" before Our Eucharistic Lord on any day and any hour during the week. This the Pope gave by an Apostolic Letter!
In the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus asked His Apostles if they could stay awake for one hour? That is a question He asks us? I tell people that the Lord invites us to go deeper with him into the Garden as He did with Peter, James, and John. There, we can spend our "Holy Hour" with Our Lord.
