The Catholic Defender: Fox News Shooting Themselves In Their Foot

On 4/19/17, Fox News fired Bill O'Reilly, host of the "O'Reilly Factor" after 20 years, 16 of which rated number 1 on cable.

Recently, reports of sexual harassment began circulating the news as advertisers began pulling away from the show.

To this point, there is no thread of evidence to support any of these claims. We know that this attempt coming from the left of trying to destroy a person's career comes from their playbook page 1. This tactic was used against President Donald Trump during the Presidential Campaign and again in 2012 levied against Presidential Candidate Herman Cain.

Bill O'Reilly was willing to pay money to protect his family against these assaults on his person and family life. President Trump responded to the Times, "O’Reilly is a 'good person' and 'I don’t think Bill did anything wrong, I think he shouldn’t have settled; personally, I think he shouldn’t have settled.”

David Selig of Selig & Associates adds. "They [FOX] threw Bill under the bus, and deliberately destroyed his career - and they didn’t even have a scintilla of proof to back up their ugly and scurrilous accusations!"

Bill O'Reilly says that this happening is something that people go through because this is the way the world is, but I think a lot of this happens because we allow it to.

The Fox News Network allowed a great American voice to be taken down as "Fake News" continue to run unquestioned.

It is quite concerning when the Left can take down one of the most powerful names in the News business.

Now the sharks our out on their feeding frenzy as the accusations and the Liberal channels who fell way behind the "O'Reilly Factor" are now taking their revenge.

On 4-20-17, as an example of how "Fake News" is influencing Fox, on the "Outnumbered" show, guest Kevin Jackson defended President Donald Trump saying that if your an American, President Trump supports them regardless of color and creed. However, Obama's former State Department Spokeswoman, Marie Harf attacked President Trump bringing up the Judge who was ruling on the Trump University case.

Ms Harf claimed President Trump attacked the nationality of U.S. District Judge Gonzalo Curiel which was the Left's talking points during the Presidential Campaign. However, the truth was this Judge had close associations to the Clinton Campaign and his opposing the building of the Wall coupled that he is a member of the San Diego La Raza Lawyers Association, not associated with National Council of La Raza.
