The Catholic Defender: Rep Ted Lieu Dares the Catholic Bishops

What is happening across America is an attempt from Marxist Communist to infiltrate every level of American society. This in the attempt to impose their revolutionary tactics which is idolatry to gain control. Look at those attacking the American Flag as an example. Now their play is going after the Church using the media as their ally.

Rep Ted Lieu is a die-hard liberal who is absurd in daring the Bishops to prevent and deny him Communion. He places himself in direct opposition to Jesus Christ Himself for this is who we receive in Holy Communion.

1 Corinthians 11:23-32 states, "For I received from the Lord what I also handed on to you, that the Lord Jesus, on the night he was handed over, took bread, and, after he had given thanks, broke it and said, “This is my body that is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way also the cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord until he comes. Therefore whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord unworthily will have to answer for the body and blood of the Lord. A person should examine himself, and so eat the bread and drink the cup. For anyone who eats and drinks without discerning the body, eats and drinks judgment on himself. That is why many among you are ill and infirm, and a considerable number are dying. If we discerned ourselves, we would not be under judgment; but since we are judged by [the] Lord, we are being disciplined so that we may not be condemned along with the world."

The Catechism of the Catholic Church states, “From the first moment of his existence, a human being must be recognized as having the rights of a person — among which is the inviolable right of every innocent being to life.”

To challenge the Church, 60 Democrats including Ted Lieu recently signed a "Statement of Principles" trying to convey that their "primacy of conscience" was their right for defending abortion. Jesus, when He established the Catholic Faith way back in 33 A.D., was not granting politicians the right to Shanghai His Church. Since this challenge has erupted due to the Catholic Bishops voting to protect the integrity of the Eucharist, Our Blessed Lord, and to also protect the unrepentant sinner, the Media is having a field day.

David Badash, author at "The New Civil Rights Movement" is very happy in his quoting of Michelangelo Signorile, who as an American journalist, author and talk radio host who in the 1970's came out of the closet. Badash makes this statement, "Michelangelo Signorile, who asked if other Catholics will be denied communion over their "sins." Signorile pointed to Newt Gingrich, whose history includes adultery, divorce, and re-marriage. Gingrich's wife was President Donald Trump's Ambassador to the Vatican."

Let me interject what is the major difference; Mr Signorile, Badash, and these 60 Democrat leaders are pushing an agenda all of which is Mortal Sin. They are living it and promoting it challenging the church, which is really challenging Jesus Christ Himself. Newt Gingrich on the other hand, is a convert to the Catholic faith. In his former life he is being accused of adultery, divorce, and remarriage. In His conversion, Newt Gingrich has reformed his life, living the life of God's grace putting aside his old self. That is what a FORGIVEN sinner does.

The Catholic Bishops as Shepherds are to safe guard the people of God, that is what they have been installed to do by virtue of their Ordination. This was established by Jesus Christ Himself while He was still with us. He will one day return and when He does, who do you think will be shaking in their boots? Will it be Newt Gingrich and those like him who have accepted Jesus and His Catholic Church, or will it be those like Ted Lieu who are rebelling and daring Jesus?

Let's look at what Ted Lieu (D-CA) Foreign Affairs CMTE told MSNBC, "Dear @USCCB: I’m "Catholic" and I support: -Contraception -A woman’s right to choose -Treatments for infertility -The right for people to get a divorce -The right of same sex marriage. Next time I go to Church, I dare you to deny me Communion." Think about the audacity to say this? He has to reject the 2,000 years of Catholic history, the Sacred Scripture, Jesus Christ himself. Does the New Testament warn against such hauntings?

2 Peter 3:1-10 warns, "This is now, beloved, the second letter I am writing to you; through them by way of reminder I am trying to stir up your sincere disposition, to recall the words previously spoken by the holy prophets and the commandment of the Lord and savior through your apostles. Know this first of all, that in the last days scoffers will come [to] scoff, living according to their own desires and saying, “Where is the promise of his coming? From the time when our ancestors fell asleep, everything has remained as it was from the beginning of creation.” They deliberately ignore the fact that the heavens existed of old and earth was formed out of water and through water by the word of God; through these the world that then existed was destroyed, deluged with water. The present heavens and earth have been reserved by the same word for fire, kept for the day of judgment and of destruction of the godless. But do not ignore this one fact, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. The Lord does not delay his promise, as some regard “delay,” but he is patient with you, not wishing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. St. Peter's final Exhortation and doxology:

"Therefore, beloved, since you are forewarned, be on your guard not to be led into the error of the unprincipled and to fall from your own stability. But grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory now and to the day of eternity. [Amen.]"

Praise the Lord, the U.S. bishops have voted overwhelmingly in favor of drafting a document on the reception of Holy Communion, which is in reality to help protect a prodigal from condemning themselves in scandal and sacrilege. The Catholic Church has consistently taught that taking an innocent human life in abortion is always gravely evil and has declared that Catholic politicians are obliged to oppose laws permitting abortion or euthanasia, noting that “it is impossible to promote such laws or to vote for them."
