The Catholic Defender: Prayer to Our Lady of Charity

The traditional Prayer to Our Lady of Charity (Nuestra Señora de la Caridad) is recited to ask for her intercession, healing, and protection.

O Most Holy Virgin Mary, Our Lady of Charity, You are the loving Mother and Protectress of all who call upon you. We come before you with hearts full of love and devotion, Seeking your intercession and motherly care.

You, who appeared to us as a sign of hope and unity, Embracing all people regardless of their circumstances, We humbly ask for your intercession in our lives.

Our Lady of Charity, you know the struggles and challenges we face, The burdens we carry, and the longing in our hearts. Wrap us in your tender embrace, O Mother, And bring us closer to your Son, JESUS.

In your mercy, hear our prayers and petitions, Especially for…[Mention your intentions] Guide us along the path of righteousness, Help us to persevere in faith, hope, and love.

We entrust ourselves, our families, and our nation to your loving care. Watch over us, protect us, and intercede for us, dearest Mother. May your grace and blessings overflow in our lives, May we always follow the example of your Divine Son. Amen.

O Most Compassionate Virgin, Our Lady of Charity, tender Mother of mercy and hope, we come before you with trusting hearts.

Wrap us in your mantle of love and present our prayers to your Son, Jesus. We humbly ask for your intercession for our deepest intentions:

—for healing of body and soul,

—for financial provision and stability,

—for peace within our families,

—for guidance in our decisions and responsibilities,

—and for the quiet miracles we long for in faith.

Mother of Charity, teach us to trust when answers seem delayed, to remain grateful in every season, and to love generously as you do.

Obtain for us the grace we seek, if it be according to God’s holy will, and lead us always closer to the Sacred Heart of your Son. Amen.
