From the Assumption of Blessed Virgin Mary Novena & Newsletter

THE ASSUMPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY-2021

August 15 – 23

TO BE OFFERED FOR THE INTENTIONS OF ALL CONFRATERNITY MEMBERS AND SUPPORTERS

f you still are not able to attend Mass we ask you to participate fully in the Novena by:

1) Making a Spiritual Communion each day during the Novena, and 2) By praying the Rosary each day during the Novena.

Daily Mass is available on EWTN. We will not be streaming the Mass at the Rosary Center. Your local Bishop may also have suggestions on where to see Mass. Also, the Holy Father, Pope Francis, has issued special indulgences because of the worldwide pandemic. Please check for updates.

Spiritual Communion: My Jesus, I believe that you are present in the most Blessed Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot now receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there, and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You. Amen.

NOVENA PRAYER

O Immaculate Virgin Mary, Mother of God and Mother of men, we believe with all the fervor of our faith in your triumphal Assumption into Heaven, body and soul, where you are acclaimed as Queen of all the choirs of Angels, and the countless multitude of saints. We unite with them in thanking and praising God who has exalted you above all the heavenly hosts.

In your mercy, dearest Mother, look down upon our miseries and our sorrows, upon our struggles and our weaknesses. Help us to remain pure in mind and body, to bear the crosses of life, and to live and die in close union with your Divine Son. Intercede with Him on our behalf, and obtain the graces and favors we ask in this Novena.

(Mention Petitions)

THE MEMORARE

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that anyone who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, or sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of Virgins, my Mother; to thee I come, before thee I stand, sinful and sorrowful; O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my petitions, but in thy mercy hear and answer me.

(Add your daily Rosary)

The Rosary Confraternity (an Archconfraternity) is a worldwide association of many hundreds of thousands of people who have committed to praying at least 15 decades of the Rosary every week. They also pray for the intentions of all Rosarians (members of the Rosary Confraternity), uniting their prayers to yours. If you are not yet a member we encourage you to join us. Membership in the Confraternity gives the added blessing of having a share in the prayers, Masses and apostolic works of the entire Order of Preachers (Dominicans).

Why pray the Rosary?

Many Saints have recommended praying the Rosary. Recent examples include Saint Pope John Paul II, Saint Mother Teresa, and Saint Pio of Pietrelcina (Padre Pio), who said "In times of darkness, holding the Rosary is like holding your Blessed Mother’s hand. Pray the Rosary every day. Abandon yourself in the hands of Mary. She will take care of you." You are also joined in prayer with the Dominican family.

"With the canonization of Saint Margaret of Costello, we give thanks to God for over 80 canonized Dominican Saints and more than 300 blesseds. What's more, this year is the 800th anniversary of the death of Saint Dominic. Since his death in 1221, thousands have followed in his footsteps preaching for the salvation of souls. Saint Dominic urged his followers to live a life of truth, prayer, and preaching. The Dominican family includes friars, nuns, sisters, and lay Dominicans." (From our Province newsletter.)

Everything we do here at the Rosary Center depends on your prayers and financial support. We wish to thank all of you for the wonderful support you have given to us, especially during these difficult times.

We are requesting you participate fully in the Novena by:
