In Christian theology, Jesus Christ is not mentioned by his human name in the Book of Exodus, but Christians find him throughout the book through typology (symbols and shadows), prophetic foreshadowing, and literal pre-incarnate appearances.
According to the New Testament, the entire Old Testament points toward the person and rescue work of Jesus.
The Angel of the Lord: In Exodus 3:2, the "Angel of Yahweh" speaks from the burning bush but identifies Himself directly as God. Christian tradition often views this specific angel as the pre-incarnate Word of God (Jesus).
The Divine Name "I AM": When God reveals His name as "I AM WHO I AM" in Exodus 3:14, it directly parallels Jesus' famous claims in the Gospel of John, where Jesus tells his critics, "Before Abraham was born, I am".

Manna from Heaven: The miraculous bread that fed Israel in the desert (Exodus 16) points to Jesus, who declared himself to be the ultimate "Bread of Life".
Water from the Rock: In Exodus 17, Moses strikes a rock to bring forth life-saving water. The Apostle Paul explicitly stated in the New Testament that "the Rock was Christ."
