The Catholic Defender: Ignite the Fire Mission At Marshall and Glascow Missouri
On 29-30 July, 2019, Members of Deepertruth arrived at Marshall and Glascow Missouri for the popular "Ignite the Fire" Missions that are being held throughout Missouri for the Catholic Community.
John Carpenter spoke on his talk, "Why Did Mary Come? Times that Mary Had Great Purpose."
Dr. Gregory Thompson gave his talk, "Eucharist, Mary, and Power of the Holy Spirit."
Michael McGlinn gave his talk, "Confidence in God and the Divine Mercy."
Donald Hartley talked on the "Four Last Things and Why Confession Matters."
These Missions are a two night experience where two teams switch Parishes so that each night each Parish hosts each team giving the talks.
What these "Ignite the Fire" Missions do along side offering the faithful good information, CD's, DVD's, Books, Pamphlets, as well as the talks, these are great in promoting the Marian Association Conferences that are regularly taking place.
To date there have been 23 such Conferences including one taking place in Jefferson City Missouri even at the time of this writing. Literally thousands have participated in these events coming from all over the State of Missouri and soon to travel to Kansas.
Speakers participating have come from as far away as California to Massachusetts, Florida to Texas, we have traveled to Texas, Kentucky, Arizona, Alabama, many States and actually around the world.
These events are designed to be an important aid to the Universal Church Christ founded, the Catholic Faith. Here are some biblical references
Acts 2:28-40. The call to follow the Lord, the call to Salvation.
Luke 5:32. The call to repentance, the need for Confession.
Romans 1:5-6. The call to belong to the Church, the need for fellowship.
Romans 1:7 The call to holiness, Grace and peace to the Church.
1 John 3:1. The call to be children of God, to listen to God's direction.
1 Timothy 6:12. The call for eternal life, our noble Confession.
These Missions and Conferences are for many an encouragement, but for others a call to return back to the Faith. We have seen such great fruit inspiring people to turn to the freedom of the Gospel.
James 1:19-25 sums this up right here:
"Know this, my dear brothers: everyone should be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath, for the wrath of a man does not accomplish the righteousness of God. Therefore, put away all filth and evil excess and humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls. Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his own face in a mirror. He sees himself, then goes off and promptly forgets what he looked like. But the one who peers into the perfect law of freedom and perseveres, and is not a hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, such a one shall be blessed in what he does."
