The Catholic Defender: Battle For The Congress

Watching the news lately can be a challenging thing, even Fox News at times because of the upcoming elections in November. I've heard commentaries speak about past election cycles where Congress shifts when a Presidential Campaign has been in place for some time.

In the case of President Donald Trump, the media has never accepted him in the oval office. They have manufactured Russian collusion, they have tried to attack President Trump's past, they have falsely reported or have been silent on the real Trump accomplishments. I've seen anywhere from 62% to 95% of all stories related to Donald Trump to be negative.

The media has been the voice and powerhouse of the opposing party of the Left. Currently, there is a majority of Republicans in the Congress but the media is hoping for a shift where the Democrats will take back the House of Representatives and even perhaps the Senate.

The Progressives are hoping for a blue wave to usher them back into power. What is the main purpose and goal of the Democrats? To impeach Donald Trump. They can not accept the results of the 2016 Presidential Election and so they want to nullify it and cast away the vote.

The facts about what is happening in America as a result of the White House today is amazing! Two million people this past year are no longer on food stamps, over 2,000,000 jobs are recorded to have been gained, trillions more dollars have been spreading all over our economy. The tax cuts given is also bringing back many jobs and possibilities, yet the media is largely silent. If these numbers had occurred during Obama's reign he would have been proclaimed a savior.

Truth is that the media will never accept the truth of what is taking place in American politics right now. Just look at the recent accusation made by Senator Dick Durbin claiming in the meeting Trump called the people of Africa, Latin America, and Haiti "----holes"? Despite the four other people present in this closed door meeting said this did not happen, the media went ballistic calling President Trump a "Racist". The media has not been interested in the truth nor even the real context that was being argued.

This is typical and so President Trump circumvents the media using his Twitter accounts and Rallies to get his message out to the American people. The spiderweb that the Progressives have been building since the election is to attack President Trump and ignore the positives so they can take back the Congress so they can finally impeach the President. That is their goal.

So, what should we do? I for one will not lose hope that President Trump will hold the red States won in the election, it is also my hope that Republicans will make notable gains in the Senate especially where Trump won by double digits. It is also my hope that the Republicans hold the line in the House so that America will be able to move forward and release the shackles of the Democrats who want to undo the election results.

There is much at stake as the enemies of democracy in our own backyard have been literally barking and yelling at the moon! The Church must come alive or we will sink back into the land of insignificance.

So the battle lines are drawn and the purpose should be clear, we must withstand the continual bombardment coming from the left and not despair. Do not be surprised to see all the Dick Durbins who will literally leak out misinformation for the purpose of a personal agenda. That is what we have seen from the high powered swamp that is bent in staying in power.

I will be from this time forward pointing out to major elections taking place throughout the Country this November. Ephesians 5:11 states, "Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead, expose them." That will be what we will clearly want to do to prevent the Democrats from achieving their goals which will again bring us into more dependence on bigger government and the surrendering of our sovereignty.

Ignorance of the facts and the truth is no excuse.

"Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore he who resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of him who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, for he is God's servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain; he is the servant of God to execute his wrath on the wrongdoer.

Therefore one must be subject, not only to avoid God's wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For the same reason you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay all of them their dues, taxes to whom taxes are due, revenue to whom revenue is due, respect to whom respect is due, honor to whom honor is due. Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not kill, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this sentence, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law. Besides this you know what hour it is, how it is full time now for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed; the night is far gone, the day is at hand. Let us then cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light; let us conduct ourselves becomingly as in the day, not in reveling and drunkenness, not in debauchery and licentiousness, not in quarreling and jealousy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires." Romans Chapter 13.
