The Catholic Defender: Norman Matoon Thomas Points to the Democrats

Alfred Hitchcock, a well known movie producer, once stated that subliminal technique were more important in getting a point across than even the plot itself in a movie. We have seen many examples of this in movies and music with the intent of selling merchandise and getting attention for particular agendas.

An example of how successful these technique can be, in 1957 at Fort Lee New Jersey, moviegoers watching movies were not aware that inserted in these movies were subliminal messages that the naked eye would not consciously see. James Vicary, a public advertising representative coined the term "subliminal advertising" placed a tachistoscope in the projection booth and throughout the playing of the movie, he flashed messages on the screen suggesting "Drink Coca-Cola" and "Hungry? Eat Popcorn" What they found was when they did this, the Coca-Cola sales rose nearly 60% and Popcorn sales rose almost 20%.

Businesses were known to place subliminal messages in the background music played at grocery stores to clothing stores like Wal-Mart suggesting they do not want to steal. I've not heard how successful this was, but some have tried it.

James Vicary concluded that they had discovered an advertising Technic that can affect change in America's buying habits without anyone knowing what brought about the change.

I remember the Beatles were rumored to have played a part using Subliminal Technics promoting that Paul McCartney had died in a car accident. They used backward masking, forward masking, and album covers and the rumor of Paul's death was never in print nor on any news accounts. It was a huge rumor that many believe was the result of a Technic to outsell the upcoming Rolling Stones in the latter 1960's.

I remember the backward masking fad that a number of Rock Groups had done as gimmicks, some probably for their own purpose, others because they tried to change people's minds on either the Occult, drug use, or sexual temptations, through repetition, they tried it all. Even the Christian Rock Group Petra had a backward message to make a point; from the song "Judas Kiss" backwards it said, “What’re ya lookin’ for the Devil for, when ya oughta be lookin’ for the Lord?”

People can debate on the effectiveness of all this, I'll leave that debate for another time, but something has happened in America the past several decades and I feel a need to take a look at it. Ephesians 5:11 Teaches that we should have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of Darkness, but rather expose it. Unfortunately, many are asleep and things are happening that requires our attention.

Norman Matoon Thomas (20 November 1884 - 19 December 1968) may not be that well known, beginning in 1918, Thomas became a pacifist and joined the Socialist Party. He was a six time Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party beginning in 1928.

In 1944, Thomas stated "The American People will never KNOWINGLY adopt Socialism, but under the name of "LIBERALISM", they will adopt every fragment of the Socialist Program until one day America will be a Socialist Nation without KNOWING how it happened." (Sounds like something subliminal here does it not?) Does this not make the hair on the back of your neck stand up? Thomas also said, "I no longer need to run as a presidential candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform."

Compare the 1960 Communist Party Platform to the current Democrat Party? Globalism vs Patriotism, income inequality vs job opportunity, open borders and sanctuary cities vs national sovereignty with legal immigration. What we are witnessing today is a product of what has been happening for decades.

Beginning in 1988, the Communist Party has supported every single person running for the President representing the Democrat Party. Who are the major culprits? We can certainly look at the Media as we have earlier shown how subliminal Technics have been used to sell merchandise and for agendas. Obviously our higher places of learning, major colleges and even public school going down to Kindergarten. Even within the Church there is an infiltration taking place wanting to bring it down.

There have been many snakes in the grass that seek to bring down America and the Church because of our stance against the take over of the Communist, Marxist, and the Socialist agenda. Judge Jeanine of Fox News warns that Americans need to be prepared to fight for America by the power of the vote this coming November 2020. Nancy Pelosi is clamoring that America needs to be dismantled. Hense, what we are witnessing in Democrat States and cities where violence, destruction, and mayhem is ramped up on the streets with little of no police involved. They are tearing it down. This could very well be the last stand to maintain our Constitution and the freedoms it upholds.
