The Catholic Defender: Another Miracle of Conversion at McDonalds
It was March (2005) I was stationed in New Orleans and one day I was at Best Buy looking to see if I could get my printer fixed. I was not given much hope, so I began to browse among the Christian CD's to look for something I liked.
While I was there, I met this one guy who also came to look around. After striking a conversation with him, I found out he was a Nondenominational with a Baptist background. We spoke about the music and could identify with much of it.
He introduced me to his wife as we continued to talk about Religion. Talking with this man's wife who had joined us at the CD section, the lady was also interested in the subject of Religion. The Woman stated that they were nondenominational with a Baptist background.
Jokingly, I quickly began to feel outnumbered but never intimidated! They began to talk about the bible and I joined right in! After a few minutes, the subject of the Catholic Church came up! They didn't realize that I was one.
I began to explain the Catholic bible, where it came from and why I think it is the right one. I caught the couple by surprise. They mysteriously began to ask me questions about exorcisms. I was only to happy to explain it. That's when I found out that they both had been in the practice of witchcraft. They were trying to find Christ when they met me.
As I spoke with them, the husband began to complain of burning sensations running down his spine. He says this happens when he tries to speak about God. When I was speaking about the Catholic Church, he began to wreath in pain. They did not want me to leave.
We decided to go to McDonalds and talk more about it. So, we left Best Buy and went to McDonalds where I ordered Two double cheese burgers, fries, and a large coke! We sat down and began to talk about the Faith.
At that time a lady who identified herself as a Catholic, heard me talking about the Catholic faith. She got excited and wanted to join in with us. We were having a bible study right there at McDonalds and that would certainly not be my first time nor my last.
We had talked about the Catholic faith for some time answering their questions. Everything went well! As a result of this interaction, the couple decided to look at the Catholic Faith and they began going to our Friday night Bible study. They independently made appointments with the our Catholic priest! Can I say "YES", thank you God!
Finally, draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power. Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm against the tactics of the devil. For our struggle is not with flesh and blood but with the principalities, with the powers, with the world rulers of this present darkness, with the evil spirits in the heavens. Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground. So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all [the] flaming arrows of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones. Galatians 6:10-18
