The Catholic Defender: Masses Be Warned, America Must Hold Fast To The Lord

It seems like every few years America continues to slide farther and farther away from what our foundations that were fought and won for the cause of Liberty and Freedom. I think it is much tougher being a teenager today than it was back in the 1970's.

In 1984-85 a movie, "Red Dawn" hit the screens showing us what it might look like should we ever be invaded by a Communist power, Russia, Cuba, North Korea, you could really pick your poison. In the movie you see concentration camps employed to re-educate our youth under guard and under control.

Instead of being taken over by a foreign power, it looks like there is an infiltration coming from within, an enemy mindset that has radically transformed our higher education beginning in our higher places of learning, but continues to reach down to high schools, grade schools, and even kindergarten.

Look at what is happening to America? We have a class of people who are offended by the American Flag, American history, and our traditions. The Democrat Party is more and more pushing far Left agendas that are affecting our major cities. Look at Seattle Washington as an example. Our streets are being littered with high crime, the poor and outcast using drugs, it is a sad plight to see such anguish.

Extreme Liberalism and it's contemporary agendas is having a terrible erosion to our Country. Abortion, Gay "marriage", legalization of drugs, the break down of the family is having a negative impact and it is getting worse. Sexually Transmitted Disease is at an epidemic level as 55,000 people are being diagnosed every day in the United States. One out of four Americans statistically have been infected even girls down to the age of 12 years old.

Socialism is taking hold among many of our youth as our public education is having it's desired affects which runs right up against our Constitution. Freedom of Religion is on their chopping block because Christianity opposes much of their agenda such as Abortion and Gay sexual freedom. Freedom of speech is being under attack as the Liberals seek to silence Conservatives.

The 2nd Amendment is threatened by the Democrat Socialist as they want to take everyone's guns away from law abiding citizens. The mainline media fully supports the Liberal agenda.

In 2018 there were Christians who supported Democrat Politicians posing to be "Centrist" but look at what has happened? Nancy Pelosi is in control of the House of Representatives along with a host of radical freshmen who are all about Impeaching President Trump, they want to push an agenda doing away with fossil fuels, airplanes, cows, their policies would turn our economy totally around hurting the Middle Class.

America is experiencing something that ancient Israel faced after King Solomon allowed his many wives and concubines to bring in their gods into Israel. Look what they were warned by God should this happen:

"But if ever you turn away and forsake my commandments and statutes which I set before you, and proceed to serve other gods, and bow down to them, I will uproot the people from the land I gave and repudiate the house I have consecrated for my name. I will make it a proverb and a byword among all nations. And this house which is so exalted—every passerby shall be horrified and ask: “Why has the LORD done such things to this land and to this house?” And the answer will come: “Because they abandoned the LORD, the God of their ancestors, who brought them out of the land of Egypt, and they embraced other gods, bowing down to them and serving them. That is why he has brought upon them all this evil.” 2 Chronicles 7:19-22

Because of this disobedience, Israel was divided into two Nations. Ultimately, the Prophet Daniel and Jesus both prophesied the final destruction of Jerusalem which ended the Jewish sacrifice and Temple worship in 70 A.D. as a result of their rebellion.

America has been turning away from the God of Heaven which so blessed this Nation. Are we beyond the point of no return? With 60,000,000 babies killed since 1973, with the Supreme Court ruling against the sacredness of Marriage, with the growth of foreigners bringing their false gods and religions into America, we better get down on our knees and pray.

70,000 die each year as a result of opioid use, that is more than those killed in the Vietnam War? I can go on and on with so many problems America faces. Where do we take these problems to effectively fix and solve these problems? Democrats? Not even close! Many Republicans are not the answer either, there are too many "Rhinos" who will obstruct President Trump just because they do not like him.

We know where to go to solve the problems, it is not a political problem, at best we can put a band-aid on it, but that is not the course. Jesus told His Church that the gates of Hell will not overcome the Faith, Hell will not defeat it. If politicians are to have a positive effect, the Church will have to put in place those who will stand for our Biblical values.

Proverbs 6 gives us a very important clue to right our wrongs:

"There are six things the LORD hates, yes, seven are an abomination to him; Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that plots wicked schemes, feet that are quick to run to evil, The false witness who utters lies, and the one who sows discord among kindred. Observe, my son, your father’s command, and do not reject your mother’s teaching; Keep them fastened over your heart always, tie them around your neck. When you lie down they* will watch over you, when you wake, they will share your concerns; wherever you turn, they will guide you. For the command is a lamp, and the teaching a light, and a way to life are the reproofs that discipline, Keeping you from another’s wife, from the smooth tongue of the foreign woman. Do not lust in your heart after her beauty, do not let her captivate you with her glance!" Proverbs 6:16-25

We need to humble ourselves, stop killing the innocent, clean up our act, our hearts, daily conversion, show charity, and love your own wife and family! That would be a good beginning, defend the family, strengthen the family and we can change society, transform our nation. Do not put this in the hands of Hollywood, but in the hands of our Lord.
