Ken has been married to his beautiful wife Patty for 36 years. They have one son, Blaine who died in 2011. Ken recently began the Lumen Christi Apostolate, charged with "Sharing the Light of Christ with the world". The Mission of LCA is to help others to grow in their faith life and to build a strong relationship with Christ.
In September of 2018, he and his wife Patty launched a new ministry called Project Chrysalis, helping parents who have lost children, by utilizing Sacred Scripture and community. Ken also serves as a volunteer with the St. Dismas Prison Outreach and is a mentor for the Mentoring 4 Success program through the Kansas Department of Corrections, serving the Lansing facility.
